Impulse Commodity Trading exports grain to EU countries. We ensure the cargo reaches its destination, preserving its properties and quality. Grain transportation requires the observance of preventive measures, which depend on the delivered cargo's condition and compliance with the declared characteristics.
Tip №1. Choose the right vehicle
We use grain trucks and railroad cars to transport wheat and corn from Ukraine.
Pay attention to the following criteria when transporting grain by grain carriers:
The dimensions, characteristics, and load capacity of the vehicle are important for maintaining grain quality.
the placement and securing of boxes, bags, and bales — the cargo must remain protected and organized throughout the trip;
structure and sealing of the truck body — it helps to avoid grain loss during transportation.
Grain transportation by a grain truck
During transportation by rail cars, special attention is paid to the technical condition of the floor and walls, their integrity, and the serviceability of the doors.
Essential: Uniform distribution of grain and tight filling of the wagon prevent movement and damage of corn and wheat grain during transportation.
Tip №2. Plan your logistics
Set up a shipment, a day of departure, and a vehicle. Based on this information, the loading team will be able to pack and load the goods and then deliver the highest quality products to the customer.
Essential: Grain should be well packaged and labeled. It is critical for its identification during the logistics process as well as protection against moisture, damage, and contamination.
Tip №3. Make sure your cargo is securely protected
If the load is carried in the bucket, it must be well closed and sealed, and make sure that the lining, construction, and bottom of the bucket are suitable for the weight and type of load. If the corn is delivered by rail, check the condition of the wagons.
Essential: During transportation, the cargo should not come into contact with rainwater or any other water source to avoid the appearance of microorganisms harmful to the grain. Provide the grain with sufficient ventilation and control the temperature.

Tip №4. Use a tarp for bulk cargo
For wheat and corn grain exporting from Ukraine, tarpaulins are required. According to CONTRAM Decree № 618, trucks without tarps or screens are not allowed on municipal, state, or federal roads.
CONTRAM Regulation № 618 requires that goods transported in open trucks should be covered and protected with special canopies or covering materials. Grain, construction materials, waste, etc., need to be securely covered or closed to prevent them from spilling, contaminating the road, or endangering other road users.
Tip №5. Calculate the best route
After harvesting, you need to determine the destination of the products and the route they will take to reach their final destination. This step will help you plan the types of warehouses you need and the appropriate bucket type for each type of cargo.
